Bevel edge on slate
A bevel edge finish on slate is a 45 degree angled slope that is taken from the top sides of the slate 5mm and down the side of the slate 5mm and is generally used on hearths but also suitable for coping stone, steps or window sills, what it actually does is to reduce the sharpness of the slate when it has been clean sawn and give a modern clean appearance .
